IMAGE STREAMING

Velvety-Smooth Breathing

Your breathing should be just one, long, continuous, flowing b-r-e-a-t-h-e, like a slow, sensuous sigh.

Before starting it, take a deep breath (while inhaling, say in your mind “Re …”), hold it for 5 seconds, then exhale slowly out (saying in your mind “Lax …”). Repeat it three times and keep on saying “Re …Lax” each time.

Close your eyes and keep them closed for the next 10 minutes. Don’t look for any images. You will just aggravate yourself if you can’t find them. Focus instead on your breathing. Breathe in and out so smoothly that there is no pause between the in breath and the out breath. Your breathing should be just one, long, continuous, flowing b-r-e-a-t-h-e,  like a slow, sensuous sigh. Let it stroke you as you might stroke a smooth piece of velvet. (11/2/10).

Image Streaming

10 minutes of image streaming every day will suffice to induce profound, positive change in your life.

 How to image stream

The procedure of image streaming is deceptively simple.  You sit back in a comfortable chair, close your eyes, and describe aloud the flow of mental images through your mind.  Three factors are absolutely crucial.  I call them the Three Commandments of Image Streaming:

  1.  You must describe the images aloud, either to another person or to a tape recorder.  Describing them silently will defeat the purpose of the exercise.
  2.  You must use all five sensesin your description.  If you see a snow-covered mountain, for example, don’t just describe how it looks.  Describe its taste, its texture, its smell, and the sound of wind howling across its peak.
  3.  Phrase all your descriptions in the present tense.

You Get More of What You Reinforce

This well-known phenomenon illustrates what we might call the First Law of Behavioral Psychology: whatever you reinforce, you will get more of it.

Every time you write down your dreams, you reinforce the behavior of dream recall.  Your recollection thus becomes stronger.  Likewise, every time you fail to write down a dream, you reinforce the behavior of forgetting your dreams, and your recall correspondingly weakens.

Image streaming works the same way.  As you begin this book, your image stream is probably very weak, because you have spent your life ignoring and suppressing it.  But as you begin daily image streaming, you’ll be startled to find the imagery growing stronger and more vivid as your practice progresses.

You can “dream” while you are awake

How, then, can you best gain access to the remarkable flow of unconscious perception? Over the last 25 years, I believe I have found an answer. The image streaming technique I developed opens the mind to a flow of symbolic imagery as potent as that of any dream. But, unlike dreaming, you can practice Image Streaming while you are wide awake, and you can do it virtually anytime, anywhere. Ten minutes of Image Streaming every day will suffice to induce profound, positive change in your life.

Image Streaming

Image Streaming is deceptively simple:

(1) Close your eyes

(2) See the Images (whatever you visualize)

(3) Describe them FAST. As fast as you can

(4) Record it simultaneously on your phone

(5) Go with the flow, do not edit them

(6) Do not force your mind to do or not to do something

(7) Do it only for 3 minutes a day

(8) Just before bed or after bed is the ideal time

(9) Do it in a calm and quiet place

(10) 3 min/day for 10 days = See guaranteed results

(11) As the time goes by, you’ll become better with it

(12)  When your left & right brain work together, you see wonders

Before your Image Streaming Session…

Do a quick Centering Exercise

I’m releasing all thoughts and images from the past.

I’m releasing all thoughts and images about the future.

I’ve created a wall in between past and future.

I’m anchoring my mind into the present.

I’m in a sanctuary, it’s safe, it feels like a vacation.

I’m curious and interested that how much I’ll be accomplishing.

I appreciate the cooperation of my mind and body, my conscious and sub-conscious mind.

I can feel that the left and right hemisphere of my brain is working together now.

I’m focused on one thing now for the next 15 minutes. It’s uninterrupted, quality time.

It’s legitimate, because, I’ve quality play time scheduled in my calendar, after this.

I’m centered now. It’s true and I believe it. (A quick 1-min session: 03/13/2023)

How Image Streaming gives you a Whole-Brain Approach like nothing else!!! You’ll be using your left & right brains simultaneously… that will create a magic.

The Whole-Brain Approach

(Excerpts from “Speed Reading” by Steve Moidel)

Accept the fact that reaching your goal of losing weight is inevitable. You will succeed. No ands, ifs, or buts. You can compare learning these goal setting methods to going on a summer vacation. This article is your road map. If you follow the map and the directions are good (and they will be), you will reach your final destination.

There are two distinct ways to act as if your goal has already been accomplished, and they deal with the inherent differences between the right and left hemispheres of your brain. This distinction between the two sides of your brain will not only be applicable for goal setting but will be a major principle in helping you master the visualization and affirmation techniques.

RIGHT BRAIN—LEFT BRAIN

Recent brain research suggests that the right and left hemispheres of your brain are responsible for different aspects of human behavior and performance. The left hemisphere of your brain deals with the more analytical or logical areas such as math, science, organizational skills, and language. The right side of your brain deals predominantly with the more creative areas such as art, music, humor, and visual imagery. For our purposes in this section on goal setting, let’s simplify the distinction between the two by stating that, “The right hemisphere is visual whereas the left hemisphere is verbal” and we want to have both sides work in harmony rather than cancel each other out.

The majority of people who set goals do so by either stating or writing verbal affirmations. For example, if you want to lose weight, you might say to yourself, “I want to lose ten pounds by Thanksgiving.” When you verbalize your goals, which part of your brain have you activated? Your left hemisphere, because you are dealing with language. But have you involved the right part of your brain? No.

Unless you actively involve both sides of your brain, you may encounter a canceling out effect. For instance, you may write down and mentally repeat to yourself that you are “Losing weight,” but your right brain may conjure up images of you “Not losing weight,” and thus the right and left parts of your brain will cancel out one another. Conversely, you may visualize yourself as a “Thin and physically fit person;” yet, your inner voice repeats such statements as “Who are you trying to fool? You know that you are overweight.” Once again, the right and left hemispheres of your brain are in conflict and cancel out one another.

The key is to have both sides of your brain working in harmony to accomplish a common goal. So not only must you tell yourself that you are losing weight (left brain), but you must also visualize yourself being that lean and thin person (right brain). This whole-brain approach to goal setting is powerful and effective.

Instant Replay

If you practice Instant Replay for 15 to 30 minutes per day, it will, within 10 to 21 days, exert a profound impact on your life and powers of perception.

The Instant Replay Procedure – Think of yourself as an astronaut who has just returned from some exotic mission. You must now engage in a thorough debriefing, describing every detail of your journey to scientists for study back in Mission Control.

  1. Close your eyes and practice Velvety-Smooth breathing.
  2. Bring forth a concrete memory of the event you have selected.
  3. Describe the event sequentially to your partner or tape recorder as it really happened, in accordance with the normal rules of Image Streaming. That is, describe it in the present tense and in rich sensory detail. Your partner should keep coaching to an absolute minimum.
  4. For the first four to five minutes, confine your description to sensory impressions of the setting, the teacher or other key person, the other participants, the action, your feelings, and even body awareness. As in normal Image Streaming, do not hesitate to fudge and make things up if it will keep the stream going.
  5. When you have established the sensory setting very clearly, begin to open yourself to more abstract insights. Feel free to make comments and judgments about the action before you. Don’t worry if these judgments seem wise or correct. If they’ve popped into your mind, they are important.
  6. Soon the images may change or twist in some unexpected, even bizarre way. They may be replaced with entirely new images that, at first, seem unrelated. These new or changed images are a reflexive response from the broader, unconscious regions of your mind. They are a symbolic representation of some vital insight about the replayed scene. Contained within these images is a message about your selected experience. If you persist in your Image Streaming, it will burst upon you in the sort of sudden, all-encompassing insight that Abraham Maslow called an “Aha!” moment.
  7. Continue describing the new image for 10 to 30 minutes, or until you achieve a clear “Aha!” experience.

The best ideas come last

In the creativity technique known as brainstorming, people are to throw ideas freely without worrying about whether the ideas are good. Generally, the best ideas come at the end of brainstorming sessions after participants have loosened up and allowed their subtler to come into play.

In like manner, Instant Replay improves as the session progresses. The last ideas you discover tend to be the most valuable.

15 to 30 minutes per Day

If you practice Instant Replay for 15 to 30 minutes per day, it will, within 10 to 21 days, exert a profound impact on your life and powers of perception. For thousands of years, men and women have yearned for a second chance to right past mistakes and to draw more value from those rare, peak moments that invariably arrive too seldom and pass too quickly. Instant Replay offers something very close to that opportunity.

As we have seen, human development arises from the feedback loop– a never-ending progression of expression and response, of trial and error. Image streaming offers you the opportunity to run that feedback loop again and again until you get it right.

EMPLOY YOUR SUB-CONSCIOUS TO GET A LASER BEAM FOCUS

Question: How to achieve a goal?

The majority of people who set goals do so by either stating or writing verbal affirmations. For example,  if you want to lose weight, you might say to yourself, “I want to lose 10 pounds by Thanksgiving.”  When you verbalize your goals, which part of your brain have you activated?  It is your left hemisphere.  Because you are dealing with language. But have you involved the right part of your brain?  No. Unless you actively involve both sides of your brain, you may encounter a “canceling out effect.” The key is to have both sides of your brain working in harmony to accomplish a common goal. So not only must you “tell” yourself that you are reading at 1000 w.p.m. with 85% comprehension (left brain), you must “visualize” yourself reading that fast  (right brain). This “Whole-brain approach to goal setting” is powerful and effective.

Answer: By using both parts of your brain (conscious and sub conscious mind).

Getting goal is a conscious exercise. Achieving goal is a non conscious exercise. Habit: Change the habit to achieve any goals. How? Program your RAS, that is Reticular Activation System. How to program your RAS? By following these steps:

Meditation, Affirmation & Visualization (MAV)

Meditation: Get in the zone and ask for it.

Affirmation: Listen to them in the morning on your iPhone. Then, chant throughout the day.

Visualization: Through Image Streaming and Mind-Mapping, thereafter.

Simply keep focusing on it, get all kinds of neural re-conditioning. Gather your neural-linking materials and get a strong and powerful “why?”

Habits are 1000 times powerful than desire. Change the habit, replace your auto pilot.

Recalibrate your psycho cybernetic mechanism.

Motivation does not last long. What does last is the motive; this is your “why.” As Nietzsche said, “If you have a why, you’ll find a how?”

Create a picture with end-result of your business.

Do the “Centering” exercise 5 to 6 times a day.

Write it 20 times a day, what is your main objective.

Listen to the paraliminals before bed.

(10)Do the EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) twice a day.

Question: How to start slowly?

Answer: By using Raymond Aaron’s MTO system.

Since it’s a paradigm shift, you can’t get on the high gear overnight. Or, maybe you did it in the past, then, stopped. How to re-start it? The answer is, “Start slowly.” Follow Aaron’s “Goal setting in three levels (minimum, target, outrageous) system.” First is minimum (just take three disciplines to begin with) viz. Centering,  Meditation twice a day, and listenting to affirmations on the iPhones, right after getting up in the morning.

When you master these three steps, add one more into it:

Listen to paraliminals before bed. Then, add one more (next week): Image Streaming. And, so on …

But, starting slow with Centering, MAV twice and iPhone affirmations is a sure way to succeed.

SPEED READING BY STEVE MOIDEL

Important notes from “Speed Reading for Business” by Steve Moidel: 6/6/2011

Right V/S Left brain: Use both sides of your brain, while learning anything; e.g. Say an affirmation, then simultaneously visualize it.

Snowman exercise: Use this one for an instant concentration (like, “Centering”).

AAIRR formula for concentration: attitude, attention, interest, relaxation and repetition.

RWAP system: Repetition with a purpose.

Relaxed doing: Avoid constant testing of whether or not you are getting the desired result!

It’ll take 100’s or even 1000’s of repetitions (of mental affirmations) over a period of time before you see any significant results.

Doubt & Fear: Eliminate internal distractions.

Music for concentration: Bach, Handel and Vivaldi.

Set Goals: See page #10

Proper Breathing Technique: Diaphragm Deep-Breathing exercise.

Learn to read group of words at a time. Read the concept, not the direct meaning.

Exercise to eliminate learning barriers: Relax your body. Repeat two or three affirmations. Picture in detail the benefits of your verbal affirmations. Repeat these steps twice daily. It is an easy 3-step process, on page #111.

Nutrients that improve your memory: page # 119.

The psychology of memory: page # 120.

How to study: page # 120, 173 (look @ the “VVI” mark).

Photo reading or speed reading requires that you learn certain fundamentals before you can effectively play the game (171).

Summery (page #170) is the best part of the book.

Best and most provocative portion of the book (page # 13): it really blew up my mind. It will help me immensely in goal setting and other thing in life, down the road. It’s nothing but a piece of gem. It was, I can say, “A big and huge missing link, in my roads to success, so far.”

The majority of people who set goals do so by either stating or writing verbal  affirmations. For example,  if you want to lose weight, you might say to yourself, “I want to lose 10 pounds by Thanksgiving.”  When you verbalize your goals, which part of your brain have you activated?  Your left hemisphere, because  you are dealing with language. But have you involved the right part of your brain?

This whole-brain approach to goal setting is powerful and effective.

In my (Sunny Mitra) humble opinion, the best way to employ both right and left sides of your brain together is:

(1). MAV: Meditation, Affirmation & Visualization

(2). Image Streaming (3). Centering  Exercise (4).Write it 20 times, and  (5). Mind-Mapping.

“When I write a book,” says Neil Fiore, “I do it basically in under a year, 15 hours a week. So that looks like discipline, but actually it’s structure and focus and choosing when to start.” So, part of my vision and mission is to always use my full brain, not just my ego over my left ear, which is only 5 to 10% of the brain tissue. Why use just one cylinder when you have an eight-cylinder car?

Sunny Mitra’s Affirmation

I am fully committed to making a huge difference in the world. I serve others so they will have to struggle less and so they can have financial freedom. My greatest passion is being of service to others and creating programs that deliver dream lives. I am in demand, sought out and I work that high-end of the Life Insurance marketplace. My sales system is of world-class caliber. I directly impact 500+ lives this year, and my income is $1,000,000+. Having this happen is my barometer for knowing that I am in service, and I am on the right spiritual path. My phone rings daily. I have requests for IBC Sales daily. I can charge the highest commission for coaching and sales. Emotionally, I am at peace and happy for I know I am living with purpose daily. I feel needed, worthy, valuable and I feel like I make a difference in the world. (March 10, 2023)
