Chapter 17

The success formula boils down to a three-letter word: SAH

Stories + Actions + Habits

But just taking care of stories, actions, and habits is not enough. On the top of these three, you also need to have a robust self-image of yourself which you will find in detailed description in chapter 13 . And also, dig deeper into life interpretation. The way it works is, whatever is happening around us, we interpret it differently and if you follow a system to interpret every thought in a positive way, at the same time killing the negative ones, you will feel the good results within hours instead of days.

Stories

Money is everywhere. Money does not come from your job or business. Because all supply comes from the universe, and so is money. Money comes from the universe. And so, making money is the easiest thing in the world to do. If you just follow the system, it will start coming to you easily and effortlessly. Money is a product of your consciousness and vibrations, and it comes from the universe.

This is the story you need to hold in your mind and tell yourself every single day:

Money piles up in my bank account every single day. I attract money. I’m a money magnet. I have a high money vibration. When the money goes out, even more comes back. Money flows to me.

I’m definitely going to use it as my mantra in my life, from now onwards…

“I make a lot of money because it’s izzy.”

“I make $20k this week because it’s izzy.”

MONEY does not come from efforts. Money doesn’t come from people. Money comes from my vibration of thoughts, stories, consciousness, interpretations, etc.

SATYA SHAW used to say that I like things which are Izzy (he meant easy).

No wonder he had a $10 million net worth.

When I tried it today on the computer, I got an instant success:

I was trying to get into my SOCIAL SECURITY website page, end it was obstructing me.

Then I clicked enter once again and said, “It’s Izzy” with confidence. And this time I was in.

I’m definitely going to use it as my mantra in my life, from now onwards…

“I make a lot of money because it’s izzy.”

Vibrations = Thoughts, Stories, Consciousness, Interpretations, etc.

Judging Others

We judge people based on ego, arrogance and fear. – Jim Fortin

The moment I faced this question,

“Who gave you the right to judge Charlie English, the HOA president?”

All my problems with him and with my neighbors were resolved in my mind in an instant.

Also this afternoon, my next-door neighbor Joey told Olga, “Say hello to Sunny.”
That also brought a sense of calm and peace all over me.

I love Charlie… these 3 words have magic in it.

It is a time tester thing in my life, since year 2001.

In the past, whenever a thought occurs in the mind

And I get mad at someone…

All have to do is say these three magic words…

I love Charlie (on whatever the name of the person is)

And immediately with some miracle, my anger vanishes.

And a piece comes down all over me, very, very quickly.

11/02/2022

How to get out of this mess?

At the HOA meeting on October 23, I and Olga really made a mess. We have annoyed and alienated our 3 neighbors (Tim, Charlie & Joey) which will include also the fourth one, which is Dave the doctor, Unit #3, and I like him very much.

Now, this is the way I can get out of this mess:

  1. Ask yourself, who are you to judge others, (as Jim Fortin said)? (I judged Charlie too much)
  2. Let it cool off, Karin Saroyan said. Time will heal everything.
  3. Fix it through the Law of Attraction. Exactly like this Gay Man in the movie the secret. Fix it in my mind first. Love them all. Forgive them all. Said, I love Charlie, Tim, and Joey. Then it will fix my outside world as well. Don’t push Charlie anymore.
  4. Looks like I need to change my story towards other people. I judge them too much.
  5. Looks like I need to change my story towards other people, I don’t love and respect them enough. Overall above all I need to be more forgiving. I need to ignore the smaller things in life. And I need to develop more tolerance, when it comes to human interaction. And I should never show my rage in Public.
  6. Ask yourself, how much does it take (or cost) to stay unhappy?

11/02/2022

Dismiss the thought right away

Recently it was popping up on my head that, Oh we should move out of this (Arlington Heights) neighborhood and go to somewhere else… maybe I should buy another house. Like Olga said yesterday, this is a small town and I need to live in a big city, maybe like Roswell. Which is of course a very negative thought. I’m not going anywhere. What I need to do is, “The moment this thought pops up in my mind, I need to dismiss it right away.” Once again I should not try to ignore it, rather I MUST dismiss it right away. Yes that is the teaching of the great master named, Jim Fortin.

Action

Action Creates Momentum

Without exception… I got to do these three things daily:

1. MVA = Meditation = Dyna/Psyc

2. OneThing: Spend 4 hrs daily on it

3. MIFD: Most Important 15 Daily

Write it for 20-times, in the morning:

“I save in excess of $100K by Dec 2017.”

My most important Daily Rituals:

  1. 66-Day Challenge Calendar
  2. Write to-do list the day before
  3. Read & Visualize before sleep

Be in the office by 9 am, every day:

Make 10 contacts before 10 am today.

Action creates momentum:

You have to take action to create a reaction. Make a yearly, monthly, weekly and daily goals.

The Hour of Power:

Upon waking up do these three things religiously, for 20 minutes each: meditate, exercise, read.

The Rule of Five:

Follow the Rule of five and Say, “I must talk to at least five prospects each day.” Make a list each day of five action steps that will move you closer to your goal. Be very specific in your actions.

Action is the Answer:

The only way to be proficient at something, the only way, is…

“Convey your message to the sub-conscious mind.”

And to do it, you need a dose of “Daily Action of MVA.”

The ONE Point that I’m stuck right now is, “How to take a daily action, day-in and day-out?”

Answer: Through ONE THING. Yes, this is the sequence…

 1.    Write your next day goals (to-do list) the day before.

  1. Visualize the whole next day (based on the list) for ten minutes before bed.
  2. Time-Block for a solid four hours for the completion of your One Thing.
  3. Keep on chanting every hour, “What is the One Thing I can do…”
  4. “Until my One Thing is done everything else is a distraction.”
  5. Use the “66-Day Calendar” to keep your focus intact.
  6. Take advantage of self-hypnosis and Image Streaming.
  7. Meditate vigorously. Never miss a session.
  8. Go Mike Kaselnak style and write a $100 check to a charity you hate.

In his ground-breaking book, “The Biology of Belief,” the author Bruce Lipton says,

“If you want the subconscious to learn, you have to teach it in the way it uses information:

  1. Hypnosis
  2. Repetition
  3. Energy Psychology/Belief Change Modalities

In the book called, The Power of Your Sub-Conscious Mind, Joseph Murphy says…

“Convey your message to the sub-conscious mind through –

  1. Repetition
  2. Faith and
  3. Expectancy.”

Habits

04/27/2023

3 Goal-Achievement Tools

I told Manish Shaw today…

(1) Association

(2) Systems

(3) Habits

These 3 things are so important to achieve any goals.

And, that is what I'm achieving by hiring a gym trainer, Manish.

His association is keeping me continuous inspiration and excitement.

It created a system for me to report at 7am… helping me get-up early.

And, by repetition (doing it 6 days a week), I'm installing a new habit.

02/09/2023

How one bad habit messed up my life?

(1) My IBS – Irritable Bowel Syndrome = no energy, sleeping problem, always tense

(2) My 5am Morning – getting up late = no time left to work for the day

(3) My Unhappy Syndrome – My anger Habit = Keeps me unhappy (I'm control freak)

Side reasons:

My late night movies – Retiring late = My 5am Morning missing

When you are a control, freak, unhappy soul = people don't like you = less success.

Always remember, "The secret sauce to success, is happiness."

And only when you control or change your anger habit, you can be happy.

Sure, I have started with this tiny habit creation:

Morning Ritual Recipe:

"After I wake up, I will Smile immediately.”

02/06/2023

Happiness is the secret sauce for success.

02/06/2023

Anger is a Habit

Happiness is a Habit!

Why I get angry so frequently?

Why am I unhappy all the time?

Why I'm perceived to be an unfriendly person?

In 2003, my friend Scott Benton yelled at me,

"Sunny are you a man-hater?" That really got me thinking…

No I'm not a man-hater, I'm just very disciplined and control freak.

But today I got the answer:

It's not that I hate people, the problem is somewhere else…

All these days I used to think, I'm not good with people, but…

I was all confused and asking myself, "Then, why I like to help people?"

Why so many people adore me whose lives I changed?

Why my life's goal is to be around people, help them, feed them…

I think, today I found the answer…

It's not me who is bad but my habit of getting angry & being anal with people.

I wanted everybody to go my way… which is just impossible in this world.

When that doesn't happen, it makes me angry…

And that anger keeps me away from happiness.

It is so much engrained in me that even when I'm not with people, I'm angry & unhappy.

Because I encourage those angry, unhappy thoughts continuously…

And, Jim Fortin says, "If you are not happy, you'll never succeed."

In Bible it says, "Know thyself." I thought I knew myself, but the reality is that…

It's a Million Dollar Day for me today, because finally, I discovered myself!!!

Interpretations

Step #1 is acknowledge the feeling

Step #2 is recognize that you're feeling bad

Step #3 is create seven NEW interpretations

Step #4 is you’re picking a new interpretation.

I love Charlie… these 3 words have magic in it.

It is a time tester thing in my life, since year 2001.

PS: Always remember,

Your entire life is simply an interpretation.

When you change them, life will change very, very quickly.

Nothing has any meaning, except the meaning that I give it.

How I started getting up at 6:30 AM

(1) 10/22/22: First, I've started doing my WOM twice a day: 7:30 am & 10pm.

So it gave me a reason to get up at 7:30 AM and I was doing pretty good

In fact, I started enjoying it when I saw some results immediately.

(2) 11/06/22: Then comes the Daylight Saving Time on Sunday

No my old 7:30 AM turned into 6:30 AM. And I took full advantage of it.

I started getting up at 6:30 AM (6:15 alarm) and did my WOM immediately.

(3) Two things that solidified my program and made it fail proof:

At 10 AM I was doing the WOM (self-hypnosis) with Alex

At 6:30 AM, Sunny Ghosh calls me on the phone and woke me up

(4) Karin Saroyan is doing it that encourage me to do it as well

Yes, one of her goals was to get up at 6:30 AM

And with the TCP program this is the habit she chose to change

(5) The moral of the story:

When you have a big WHY for doing something

When you set up an immediate chore after waking up in the morning

When you use the beautiful advantage of the Daylight Saving Time

Waking up early in the morning happens easily and effortlessly.

11/15/2022

Right now I've started doing WOM twice a day since 10/22/22: 7:30 am & 10pm.

From 11/8/2022, I've started waking up at 6:30am and doing WOM.

The best way to change a habit is to "Fit your Life" into it, and not "Fit this Habit" into your life. In other words, your life should rotate around creating this new habit. – Jim Fortin (see for details in Habits page of Jim Fortin)

"Fit your life" into it, not other way around

Why it is critical to make this your #1 commitment?

Imagine you're picking up a habit of getting up early…

If you try to “Fit this habit” your life…

You are already working from your old context.

“Fit your life” into this new habit, discipline or commitment.

Your life should rotate/spin around creating this new habit.

In other words, if you want to get up at 5 o'clock in the morning,
You should create a lifestyle that fits in this new habit.

But, if you try to create this new habit that fits into your lifestyle…

Then you will be working from your old context… doomed to fail.

So you're planning should be, in order to get up early I need to do these days these things in this way so that they will all together help me getting up at 5 AM.
But if you did it other way around like, first I get up at 5 AM, then I'll do this this this…

That means you're trying to "fit this into your life." A huge mistake.

Look at it the other way…

We are used to think that in order to get up early you need to focus on retiring early.

But time has taught me that it was not a wholesome project. Instead, I need to put my focus on what time I get out from my office in the evening. So I made this three-step getting up early resume:

  1. Get out of the office by 5:30 PM in order to go to bed by 10 PM
  2. Get up at 6:30 AM by taking advantage of daylight saving time on November 6, 2022
  3. Right after I get up in the morning, I do my Workshop of the Mind Session for 11 minutes.

Miscellaneous points here:

First of all your eyes should be set on what time you start cooling down in the afternoon.
Before my eyes were set on no screen after 10 PM. And I was making my whole evening ritual based on that. End it was a lot of work which is why it fell off. But right now, all I'm doing is getting out of my office at 5:30 PM, and rest of it falls into place by itself.

Second biggest thing is you have to have an immediate purpose, a WHY for to get up in the morning. And my white is to make $1 million a year. Moreover I have an immediate job in place to do, at the moment I wake up. Which is to start my WOM Session by Transformational Coaching Program (TCP) of Jim Fortin.

Moral of the story:

I'm not trying to “Fit this into” into my life…

Rather I am doing this:  “Fit my life” into this new habit/schedule.

Why, because my whole day rotates around two things:

Get out of the office by 5:30 PM sharp
Get up at in the morning at 6:30 AM sharp

And I'm planning my whole day around to it, not the other way around.

And oh, by the way, did I mention that I'm keeping this thing simple?

And also I'm applying the Habit Changing technique of Jim Fortin and BJ Fogg.

Habits I'm working on

I make $1M a year: write it when I wake up

Create a micro habit to get to the macro habit

I'm getting out of the office by 5:30 PM = Micro Habit

Wake up in the morning by 5 AM = Macro Habit

Get up at 5 AM = This is my One Thing…

If I can master it everything else will become easier unnecessary.

I need to create a menu for my dinner = my another macro habit

It will help me sleep better and wake up with energy and fully rested.

It took me years to figure it out my menu for breakfast.

Before I was only eating two eggs and coffee…

And by 11 AM my headache will kick in and I was devastated.

Then when I figured it out eggs, broccoli and oatmeal…

My life had never been the same again.

Doing my WOM, three times a day (Workshop of the Mind)…

Right now I've started doing it twice a day since 10/22/22: 7:30 am & 10pm.

Start with a Tiny Habit: Just after dinner do it for a minute (WOM)

Read for 10 minutes in the bed.

Once again, I need to master these 4 habits in a tandem:

Plan my next day for a minute at 5:15 PM

Getting out of the office by 5:30 PM

Meditation session with Alex at 10 PM

Be in the bed by 10:55 PM

Wake up in the morning by 7:30 AM

WOM session at 7:30 AM

A shutdown ritual can help you end your day on a high note

So, make sure before leaving the office you plan your next day.

As they say, "All the roads are lead to Rome"…

My Rome, my ONE Thing is to get up at 5 AM every day.

Yes, that is my Mount Olympus.

To achieve these, my focus for the whole day should be…

Think and visualize to hit the sack by 10:55 PM

I can also start writing for 20 times…

"I hit the sack by 11."

If not 20 times, right it just for once a day.

My one 'Tiny Habit' that can make all the difference in the world…

"After I close for the day @ 5 pm, I'll write my next day's list for a minute."

10/28/2022

How to master a NEW habit?

Just by thinking about it all the time. (you attract it)

10/27/2022

My Action Steps

What am I doing right now?

Out of office 5:30pm – started from 10/24/22

In the WOM self-hypnosis – started from 10/22/22

More Memory Power: write it on the board

Making $1M a year: watching on the screen

Apart from that I also created…

My inner outer alignment chart — 10/22/22

Laminated it and also put it on my TV vision board

Now I need to create my 66-day calendar
To track down my new habit creation

Then I need to make and one line affirmation that I'll keep on repeating.

But somehow she controlled her mind that replaced the anger with cheer.

What is anger (taken from Quora)

I wanna share something my therapist said about anger that blew my mind:

"Your anger is the part of you that knows your mistreatment and abuse are unacceptable.

Your anger knows you deserve to be treated well, and with kindness.

Your anger is a part of you that loves you." — Lindsay Gallant (Mind journal)

“First we create our habits and then our habits create us.” — Buddha

To learn a new habit – go through the Tiny Habits program by BJ Fogg
To unlearn an old habit – go through Jim Fortin's TCP program

"Doing a habit is focusing on one thought." – Jim Fortin

Biggest way to adapt a new habit is thru continuous association – Sunny Mitra

Getting into the habit of creating "Tiny Habits" is the solution – Sunny Mitra

Create a Micro habit, then go to the Macro.

Why it is critical to make this your #1 commitment?

If you try to “Fit this into” your life…

You are already working from your old context.

Instead, what do you need to do is “Fit your life” into this new habit, discipline or commitment.

Anatomy of a habit

Ignoring versus dismissing

Ignoring urges makes "them" stronger.

Dismissing urges makes "you" stronger.

Dismissing urges makes them go away.

Sunny said:

"Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. In those choices lie our growth and our happiness." — Covey

Now, as Jim Fortin says…

"The best way to change a habit without self-discipline or willpower is to dismiss a thought or urge, the moment it pops up in your mind."

So, what do we need to do is…

The moment we get in that stimulus and response “Space,” dismiss that thought/urge.

So, what do we need to do is…

Be aware. Awareness is the key.

You have the freedom to think as you wish – Victor Frankl

i.e. you always have a choice (just watch your triggers)

Karin said:

And breaking the habit, Jim says, ”You can’t do what you’re not thinking about”.

He says move your attention and dismiss the urge. It magically goes away.

I can compare this to the church…

They tell us to look out for ways the devil is playing a role in your life.

It’s all awareness. Then learning to acknowledge & dismiss

How to do it?

The Daily Routine

3 Smart Things To Do Today For A Super-Productive Day Tomorrow

A shutdown ritual can help you end your day on a high note

I am a huge fan of starting your day on purpose.

You can use the same principle to end your day.

Every day, before you end your workday, save a few minutes to process the day. Look at your to-do list and compare what you should have done versus what actually happened. Could you have done better than you did? Did you complete all your high-value tasks?

If you make it a habit to spend a little time every day planning your day (Plan Tomorrow Today) and wrapping up your day on purpose, you will continue to have an amazing day every week.

Remember, 80 percent of your output is determined by 20 percent of your input, according to the Pareto principle.

It pays to know how you are using your time and on what tasks. Spend your last 20 minutes every day to reflect, process, measure and prioritize for the next working day.

This simple habit can improve your efficiency. A workday shutdown ritual changes everything.

In his bestselling book Deep Work: Rules for Focuses Success in a Distracted World, Cal Newport describes the importance of ending every workday the same way:

“This ritual should ensure that every incomplete task, goal or project has been reviewed and that for each you have confirmed that either

1) you have a plan you trust for its completion, or

2) it’s captured in a place where it will be revisited at the right time.”

— Thomas Oppong (Medium.com – 11/17/2020)

PS: Always remember to write your calendar the day before (Plan tomorrow today). — Sunny Mitra
